Why should I register for PIG?
PIG (Pork Information Gateway) is a FREE resource for the U.S. Pork Industry.

The PIG Library provides the industry with factsheets, references, and a
place for premium users (U.S. Pork Producers) to ask questions of swine
extension specialists from around the U.S.

PIG Events provide educational learning opportunities for the industry and PIG Opportunities provide students and individuals interested in becoming involved
in the Pork Industry educational and career opportunities.

Meet the Domain Editors

Domain Editors are in charge of the content within their specific area.

They also help to answer questions that are submitted by producers. So go ahead and ask away!

Todd SeeLead Editor - Dr. Todd See serves as the lead domain editor for the Pork Information Gateway (PIG). He is a Professor of Animal Science and Swine Commodity Coordinator at North Carolina State University.

Mark WhitneyProduction and Management Systems - Dr. Mark Whitney serves as the production and management systems domain editor for PIG. He is an Assistant Professor for University of Minnesota Extension, where he serves as leader and coordinator of Swine Extension programming.

Gary ThomeBusiness Management - Gary Thome serves as the business management systems domain editor for PIG. He is a farm business instructor at Riverland College in Austin, MN.
Michael SwanHuman Resources - Dr. Michael Swan serves as the human resources domain editor for PIG. He is a professor in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences, Agricultural and Food Systems program at Washington State University and coordinator of the Masters of Science in Agriculture program.
Morgan MorrowSwine Health - Dr. Morgan Morrow serves as the swine health domain editor for PIG. Morgan is a professor and swine extension veterinary specialist, in the department of Animal Science, at North Carolina State University.
Swine Welfare - Dr. Yuzhi Li serves as the swine welfare domain editor for PIG. She is an Assistant Professor with the WC Research/Outreach Center at the University of Minnesota - Morris.
Tom BaasBreeding and Genetics - Dr. Tom Baas serves as the breeding and genetics domain editor for PIG. He is an associate professor of Animal Science at Iowa State University. He also serves as a specialist to Iowa Pork Producers through the Iowa Pork Industry Center.
Brian RichertSwine Nutrition - Dr. Brian Richert serves as the swine nutrition domain editor for PIG. He is an associate professor of Swine Nutrition and Management, in the Animal Science Department, at Purdue University.
Rob KnoxReproduction - Dr. Rob Knox serves as the reproduction domain editor for PIG. He is an extension specialist for swine reproduction, in the Animal Science Department, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Facilities and Equipment - Dr. Stephen Pohl serves as the facilities and equipment domain editor for PIG. He is a professor in the Ag & Biosystems Engineering Department at South Dakota State University.
Alan SuttonEnvironmental Stewardship - Dr. Alan Sutton serves as the environmental stewardship domain editor for PIG. He is a professor of swine waste management, nutrition and intestinal microbiology at Purdue University.
Ron PlainMarketing - Dr. Ron Plain serves as the marketing domain editor for PIG. He is the D. Howard Doane Professor of Agricultural Economics and Extension Economist at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Steve MoellerPork Quality - Dr. Steve Moeller serves as the pork quality domain editor for PIG. He is an associate professor and swine extension specialist at The Ohio State University. He also serves as a swine educator team member for the Ohio Pork Industry Center.
Margaret HardinPork Safety - Dr. Margaret Hardin serves as the Pork Safety domain editor for PIG. She is an Associate Professor of Food Microbiology in the Dept. of Animal Science at Texas A&M University.
Jodi SterleYouth Projects - Dr. Jodi Sterle serves as the youth projects domain editor for PIG. She is an Associate Professor and Extension Swine Specialist for Texas A & M University and Extension.
Palmer HoldenStatistics - Dr.Palmer Holden serves as the statistics domain editor for PIG. He is a retired faculty member and professor emeritus, for the animal science department, at Iowa State University.
Kerry Leedom-LarsonWorker Health And Safety - Dr. Kerry Leedom Larson is the public health domain editor for PIG. She is a veterinarian trained in public health, and works as an occupational health and safety consultant for the National Pork Board (Pork Checkoff).
David NewmanNiche Pork Production - David Newman serves as the niche pork production domain editor. He is the swine extension specialist at North Dakota State University.
